In addition to the features already mentioned, there are ample facilities for taking good care of her in case of incidental illness. Then too, her health is well protected through the exclusion of all persons having physical disabilities which might endanger the health of other employecs.
A most desirable feature of telephone work, especially for the younger girls, which cannot be too highly estimated, is its perfect freedom from unpleasant influences. The operator is under the direct supervision of women only, and is afforded every protection while in the telephone building. There are no opportunities for her to come into personal contact with the public.
